Today is our last day in Iceland... I had so much fun on the trip and I'm very sad that we have to leave tomorrow. I now have so many great memories as well as new friends. I can't wait to get home to make my book of all my pictures!

We were able to finally go horseback riding today on the beautiful Icelandic horses. I had so much fun trotting and galloping on my horse as well as seeing all the pretty sights. In the afternoon we were separated back into our groups and were able to go around the city to take pictures, have snacks, and buy gifts.
Yesterday we woke up bright and early to go out on a whale watching tour. I was excited but skeptical that we would really see a whale. However, only 15 minutes into the trip we saw our first whale! I was happy to see one so soon but it quickly went underwater... Later we were able to encounter a blue whale, the biggest animal one the planet, which was very rare. We also saw a lot of puffins flying along past the boat. After whale watching we went down to a river with fossil in it. We ate lunch there and two dogs were very excited to play with us. After lunch we went to a beautiful waterfall that was very powerful and a crater with very blue water and snow.

This morning we went on a hike around a mountain to visit a viking village. The hike was veryyy long but it was worth it. It was so beautiful! We walked along the coast line following a sheep path. Once we finally got to the village everyone was so relived. The village was made for a movie five years ago but was never used. However, we were told that in the next year a movie would be filmed there.
Today was our first day in Hofn. In the morning we went into a fishing museum and were able to learn more about the fishing industry as well as the surrounding area. In the afternoon we were separated into groups of four and were able to go off on our own and tour the city. We saw many beautiful sights such as the mountains and glacier and also met an amazing artist and learned about her life and family.

The past two days we have been camping in tents near the biggest glacier in Europe. We took a hike across the glacier yesterday and it was beautiful! We were able to see all the land around us and all the beautiful colors and designs of the glacier. Today we got on zodiac boats and headed right up to the wall of a glacier. It was located in a beautiful bay filled with icebergs that eventually would make it past the black sand beach and into the ocean which we also saw.

Today we left Reykjavik and went out into the beautiful terrain. On our way to our camp site we stopped at a geyser, a waterfall, and many other places to take pictures. The landscape is like nothing I have seen before, it is spectacular. I can't wait to go camping in a tent tomorrow and visit many other beautiful places.
